The uBuildweb platform

How Does It All Work?

Once you order, we'll send you your user name and password along with instructions via e-mail  so that you may login to your website's administration area and begin entering all the necessary information needed to create your web site. There is no need to worry about every little detail at this point as you may make changes later on as you become more and more familiar with the software.

Your uBuildweb platform is conveniently organized into two different website administration areas. Once you login, you'll be at the Main Menu. From here you'll  choose which area you need to go to perform whatever task you have in mind. For website related issues you will click on Manage Your Website (also called Website Menu) and for auction related issues you will click on Manage Your Auctions by ebay (also called Auction Menu). There is also anUpdate Your Information section where you'll enter basic information such as your name and contact information as well as login password changes.

Within the Manage Your Website menu there are nine different sections plus a Tutorials area that provides you with flash format tutorials walking you through all the various aspects of the Website Menu.

The first section is called Your Library. This is where you upload and store images, flash movies, audio (including music), and e-books. Once these items are loaded into your uBuildweb library you can now download them onto your website's web pages.

The second section is called Your Website Products. All of the products that you sell on your website are stored here, in your virtual warehouse, and are automatically tied in with your shopping cart. You can add new products, delete old products and update existing products. Once you enter in a product you are able to describe exactly what the product is, including downloading a picture of the product from your Library, set the price of the product and enter in how much to charge for the shipping method you've set up for in another section later. You'll also be able to enter in important notes about the product that are personal and will not be displayed to your website users.

The third section is called Product Sources. Here there are a number of wholesale distributors and drop shippers for you to tie in with already built in to your software that need you to sell their products. You'll have access to over 250,000 products including the  latest in new technology from top brands like Microsoft, Apple, HP, IBM, and Sony all available at special pricing.

The fourth section is called Your Website. This is where you go to actually create your web pages and publish them over the Internet. You'll enter in the name of your site, choose what type of website template you want (which controls basic elements of how your site appears, such as your website banner and navigation buttons) and add pages to your site.

Once you add a page you can now enter content to that page by clicking on the "edit page" button. This is where you will be able to enter in Text; a Library Item; a Library Item With Text; a Product from Your Website Products; a Contact Form that allows your customer to contact you by e-mail; a Mailing List Form that allows your customer to subscribe to your mailing lists and gives your customer a confirmation e-mail before the subscription is processed; HTML if you know how to code your own HTML you can knock yourself out with whatever tags you like; and Blank Spacer so you can position your content exactly how you want it.

You'll be able to set which pages you want to appear as Navigation Buttons and arrange the order of those buttons. Next, you'll be able to set your Site Settings. This is where you can upload a custom banner, enter in Meta key words and discriptions as well as control other small attributes pertaining to your site.

Finally, there's the Preview Site and Publish Site buttons. Click on the Preview Site button to see how your web pages will look over the Internet before you publish your site and then when your ready to go ahead and publish your website, simply click on the Publish Site button and your web pages will be instantly viewable over the Internet.

The fifth section is called Your Orders. This is where you keep track of each of your sales and organize each client with their own specific file. You can search your files by name and sort them by name, date, e-mail address, status, total, or transaction ID number.

The sixth section is called Your Email. This is where you set up e-mail accounts and addresses as well as e-mail forwards, where you set up e-mail addresses that forwards to an e-mail adress you already have (such as hotmail@ or yahoo@ addresses).

The seventh section is called Sales Settings. This is where you tie your uBuildweb online site builder into your Merchant Gateway; determine how to bill your customers for shipping and handling under Shipping Options; and set Tax Options such as default, state-specific, and/or zip code specific sales tax.

The eighth section is called Marketing Tools. This is where you access marketing information and tools such as Mailing Lists where you compile e-mail addresses and send out e-mails to potential clients. You can add addresses, make edits, send e-mail, delete lists, and view sent e-mail; and you may add groups of addresses for bulk mailouts. Also learn which key words you can leverage for your website with our built in Search Term Popularity tool.

The final section within the Website Menu is called Your Suggestions. This is where you send us suggestions on how you would improve the uBuildweb.
